In this first episode of my ListenUpNYC podcast, I sound off on...love. What better day to do it than Valentine's Day?
Love is the underlying theme behind this new initiative of mine, the goal to get YOU, the listener/reader/potential event-goer, to understand how music and art can fill your heart. (Rhyme not on purpose but hey, sometimes I'm a poet:)
In this podcast and the packages we present on the ListenUpNYC Substack ListenUpNYC.substack.com we will offer a glimpse back in history to people who set the stage for what modern musicians and artists are doing today. We will also introduce you to today's great composers, performers and artists of all kinds, engaging them in dialogue about universal themes that underlie their beautiful contributions.
So, listen up to this first podcast, and hear how Austrian psychiatrist Victor Frankl's philosophy on love offered up great inspiration for defining the relationship between love, art and the indomitable human spirit.
Thanks for joining us.
Peace & Love,
Steph
